01 — CUSTOM ORDER INQUIRIES

Submitting an inquiry does not constitute an order or reserve your event date.

​

All custom orders are subject to availability and must be approved by B. Dallas’ Cakes before an order is considered confirmed.

​

Quotes are based on the information provided at the time of inquiry, including serving count, cake style, design complexity, specialty elements, event location, delivery requirements, and requested date.​

​

Starting Prices

​

Buttercream Cakes — Starting at $8 per serving

​

Fondant Cakes — Starting at $10 per serving

​

3D Sculpted Cakes — Starting at $12 per serving

​

Highly detailed, realistic, sculpted, specialty, or structurally complex designs may be priced significantly higher than these starting rates based on the craftsmanship and production required.

​

Please note: Pricing is not determined by servings alone. Our per-serving prices establish a starting point; the final price is determined by the overall design, level of detail, labor, specialty techniques, materials, and structural requirements of the cake.

​

Every B. Dallas’ Cakes creation is individually quoted to ensure the price accurately reflects the work required to bring your vision to life.

​

02 — MINIMUM ORDER

​

Our minimum custom cake order is 24 servings.

​

Certain specialty, sculpted, corporate, wedding, and event orders may have different minimums or pricing requirements based on the scope of the project.

​

If your event requires fewer servings, we may recommend an alternative format that better suits your guest count and vision.

 

03 — BOOKING, DEPOSITS & PAYMENT

​

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required on all custom orders to secure your event date and reserve dedicated production time on our calendar.

​

The remaining balance is due no later than two weeks prior to the event date, unless otherwise specified in your individual proposal or invoice.

​

Once a date and production time have been reserved, deposits and payments are non-transferable between clients or orders.

​

Cancellations & Date Changes

​

We understand that life happens and circumstances can change. When possible, we are happy to work with clients who need to reschedule their event.

​

If an order has been paid in full but production has not yet begun, we may allow the order to be transferred to a new available date, subject to our production calendar and availability.

​

A date change is not guaranteed and does not entitle the client to a refund.

​

Once production has begun, the order cannot be cancelled, transferred, or rescheduled, as time, ingredients, materials, and labor have already been committed specifically to the order.

​

Refunds & Additional Payments

​

B. Dallas’ Cakes does not issue monetary refunds. Any approved refund, adjustment, or credit will be issued exclusively as B. Dallas’ Cakes in-store credit, subject to the terms provided at the time the credit is issued.

​

For cancelled orders, any payment received beyond the non-refundable deposit will only be eligible for in-store credit when the order qualifies for a credit under our cancellation policy. No monetary refunds will be issued.

 

04 — CUSTOM DESIGN & INSPIRATION IMAGES

​

We welcome inspiration photos and references. They help us understand your desired aesthetic, colors, proportions, and overall vision.

​

However, all B. Dallas’ Cakes creations are handcrafted artistic interpretations.

​

We do not guarantee an exact replica of another cake artist’s work, photograph, illustration, product, or object.

​

For highly realistic sculpted cakes, such as vehicles, handbags, shoes, characters, or other recognizable objects, we will recreate the requested design as closely as reasonably possible while allowing for the nature of handcrafted edible art.

​

Once a design has been approved and production begins, significant design changes may result in additional charges or may not be possible.

 

05 — DESIGN CHANGES

​

We understand that ideas can evolve. However, custom cakes require advance planning and production time.

​

Design changes requested after an order has been approved may be subject to:

​

• Additional design fees

• Additional material costs

• Additional production fees

• Availability limitations

​​

Once production has begun, certain changes may no longer be possible.

​

Changes cannot be guaranteed once the cake has entered production.

 

06 — DELIVERY

​

Professional Delivery Is Required

​

B. Dallas’ Cakes does not offer client pickup.

​

All cakes are professionally delivered by B. Dallas’ Cakes to help protect the integrity, appearance, and structural stability of your finished cake.

​

This is especially important for tiered, sculpted, oversized, and highly detailed cakes.

​

Delivery pricing is calculated separately and is based on factors including distance, location, timing, cake size, and handling requirements.

​

Our responsibility for the cake remains with us through the delivery and placement process.

​

Once the cake has been delivered and accepted at the designated location, responsibility for protecting the cake from guests, venue staff, environmental conditions, relocation, or other handling transfers to the client or designated event representative.

 

07 — VENUE ACCESS & DELIVERY CONDITIONS

​

The client is responsible for providing accurate delivery information and ensuring that the venue is accessible at the scheduled delivery time.

​

Please notify us in advance of:

​

• Stairs

• Steep ramps

• Long walking distances

• Restricted loading areas

• Security requirements

• Elevators

• Difficult parking conditions

• Outdoor setups

• Venue-specific delivery restrictions

​​

Additional delivery or handling fees may apply when unusual access or handling requirements are involved.

​

For large or structurally complex cakes, we may require appropriate access and placement conditions to safely complete delivery.

 

08 — CAKE TEMPERATURE & ENVIRONMENT

​

Certain cakes require controlled temperatures and appropriate environmental conditions.

​

We take extensive precautions to protect cakes during preparation and transportation. However, cakes may be affected by excessive heat, humidity, direct sunlight, outdoor conditions, unstable surfaces, or other environmental factors beyond our control.

​

For this reason, we strongly recommend that cakes remain in a temperature-controlled environment once delivered.

Outdoor cake displays are accepted only when appropriate conditions can reasonably be maintained.

 

09 — CANCELLATIONS

​

Because custom orders require advance preparation and dedicated production time, cancellation policies vary according to how close the cancellation occurs to the event date.

​

Once production, specialty materials, or custom components have been purchased or prepared, those costs may not be recoverable.

​

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.

​

Please refer to the terms included with your individual invoice for the cancellation terms applicable to your order.

 

10 — REFUNDS & CREDITS

​

B. Dallas’ Cakes does not provide monetary refunds for completed custom orders.

​

When a refund, adjustment, or goodwill resolution is appropriate, it is issued in the form of B. Dallas’ Cakes in-store credit, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

​

Credits are applied toward future qualifying orders and are subject to the terms and expiration date stated when the credit is issued.

 

11 — CAKE DAMAGE & UNEXPECTED ISSUES

​

We take great care to ensure every cake leaves our studio meeting our quality standards.

​

While uncommon, custom cakes can be affected by circumstances during transportation, venue access, environmental conditions, or other unforeseen events.

​

If an unexpected issue occurs, please contact us as soon as possible.

​

We will make every reasonable effort to salvage, repair, or otherwise resolve the situation when possible, depending on the nature and timing of the issue.

​

Our goal is always to protect both the quality of your celebration and the integrity of our work.

 

12 — CLIENT & VENUE HANDLING

​

Once your cake has been professionally delivered and placed, please do not move, reposition, disassemble, alter, or transport the cake unless specifically instructed by B. Dallas’ Cakes.

​

Tiered and sculpted cakes can be extremely delicate.

​

Moving a professionally installed cake can compromise its structural integrity and appearance.

 

13 — DISPLAY & CAKE TABLE

​

The client or venue is responsible for providing a suitable cake table or display surface unless otherwise agreed upon.

​

The display surface must be:

​

• Stable

• Level

• Appropriately sized

• Located in a safe, temperature-controlled area

​​

B. Dallas’ Cakes reserves the right to decline placement of a cake on a surface that is unsafe or unsuitable.

 

14 — CORPORATE ORDERS

​

Corporate orders may be subject to separate minimums, production requirements, branding specifications, delivery fees, and payment terms.

​

Corporate clients requiring branded cakes, cupcakes, desserts, custom toppers, large quantities, or recurring orders may receive a customized proposal based on the scope of the project.

​

For large-volume orders, production deadlines must be strictly observed.

 

15 — CAKE DECORATING EXPERIENCES & PRIVATE EVENTS

​

Cake decorating parties and private cake experiences are separate services from custom cake orders and are subject to their own pricing, minimum guest requirements, venue requirements, booking terms, and cancellation policies.

16 — WEDDINGS & LARGE EVENTS

​

Wedding cakes, large celebrations, corporate events, and specialty installations may require additional consultation, planning, delivery, setup, equipment, structural support, or specialized handling.

​

These orders may be subject to separate contracts and payment schedules.

 

17 — ALLERGIES & FOOD SENSITIVITIES

​

Please disclose all known allergies or food sensitivities before placing your order.

​

Because our kitchen handles multiple ingredients and allergens, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

Specific allergy-related accommodations must be discussed and approved before an order is accepted.

 

18 — PHOTOGRAPHY & PORTFOLIO

​

B. Dallas’ Cakes reserves the right to photograph completed cakes and use photographs or videos of our work for portfolio, website, social media, advertising, and promotional purposes.

​

If your event requires privacy or restrictions regarding photography, please notify us before the order is finalized.

 

19 — COMMUNICATION

​

All order details, approvals, changes, and important requests should be communicated through the designated communication method provided by B. Dallas’ Cakes.

​

Verbal conversations do not override written invoice terms, contracts, or approved design specifications unless confirmed in writing.

​

Please review all quotes and invoices carefully and notify us immediately of any errors.

 

20 — FINAL WORD

Our policies are designed to ensure that every B. Dallas’ Cakes creation receives the time, preparation, craftsmanship, and care required to deliver an exceptional experience.
